An inspirational tone was set at WEFTEC 2011 as the Water Environment Federation (WEF)kicked off its 84th annual exhibition in Los Angeles on October 17 with a new message – "Water's Worth It" – and a speaker who truly lives by that credo. Doc Hendley was a bartender and a musician in 2003 when he learned that 1.1 billion people didn't have access to clean water, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths every year.
